| | | | | Home » Douwe Egberts Ground Coffee - Medium Roast (8.8 ounce) by igourmet.com | | | | | | | Description: | | The history of Douwe Egberts starts in 1753, when a husband and wife opened The White Ox, a gourmet shop, in the North of Holland. Their offerings focused on coffee, tea and tobacco-- products that were imported from the Far East and traded in Amsterdam. Sales grew rapidly and soon Douwe Egberts started a wholesaling and distribution business. They built their first coffee roasting plant in 1919 and began exporting their premium quality coffee in 1930. By 1960, Douwe Egberts accounted for more than half of Dutch coffee exports. Available in three varieties - Dark Roast, Medium Roast, and Decaffeinated. We have found no other coffee that can match the heady power and richness of these blends. Varieties sold separately. | | | Features: | |
• Traditionally served before a main course of grilled steaks
• rubbed with sweet pepper, oregano, and olive oil
• excellent served with sundried tomatoes over pita bread
• great with a salad
• Imported from Argentina

Douwe Egberts coffee available at BKMay 21, 2009 My husband and I enjoy an occasional Croisandwich at Burger King. Recently, we noticed that their coffee was outstanding. On our way out of the restaurant, I examined the coffee area for a clue as to the brand used. It was DE, a brand that I had not heard of before. Now we stop at BK to get some senior coffees and we often skip the Croisandwich. The price is right and the blend is always perfect.

Douwe Egbert CoffeeMay 16, 2009 At my local Yacht Club the Douwe Egbert coffee they serve is probably the best coffee I have ever had. The coffee I ordered on-line is almost the worst coffee I have ever had. There is absolutely no comparison between the Yacht Club Douwe Egbert and the on-line ordered Douwe Egbert. If Douwe Egbert wants to sell more coffee, they are going to have to give it the same taste as what I get at the Yacht Club.
The Dutch Really Know How To Make CoffeeFeb 17, 2009 I have enjoyed Douwe Egbert coffee for over 30 years. It is one of the best.

Medium Roast Coffee, not over burned beans!Jun 14, 2008 Have to say up front. the shipping cost was about $50 (yes $fifty dollars) So I won't be able to afford this again. However, it was Heavenly, delicious, aromatic, wonderful. It's great to find a good quality coffee in a MEDIUM roast. Most coffees, and coffee shop stores overcook and burn their beans. Some people like that.
This is a perfectly moderately roasted coffee, as is the de-caffeinated medium roast.
glad I bought it. Pricy, but this is a luxury as it is so rare to find this quality of taste.
